transmit to you, to be laid before Secretary Sir William Joynson Hicks, the accompanying copy of a
telegram from the Governor of Hong Kong, relative to a proposal to establish a Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children in the Colony, together with a copy of a letter which is being addressed to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to
Children on the subject.
2. Mr. Amery would be glad to be informed
whether the Royal Society has any special powers ta
this country.
